Fuel Saving Tips for Berthierville Drivers
April 04 2017, Paillé GM
Maximizing our fuel tanks is something we all try to do on the Berthierville roads. No one likes to stop more than they have to, to fill up, so why not change your driving and maintenance habits to boost your fuel efficiency? Here are some fuel saving tips to try in your Chevy, Buick, or GMC!
Tip #1: The faster you go, the more wind resistance works against you, and the harder your engine has to work to power through. Try to slow down a bit so your engine can work more efficiently.
Tip #2: Likewise, your engine has to work harder when extra weight from cargo is packed into your vehicle. Reduce your vehicle's weight by bringing only what you need.
Tip #3: A cold engine runs inefficiently. When you have errands to run, don't let your engine cool down between each one. Try to combine as many errands as you can into one trip so your engine stays warmed up and running efficiently.
Tip #4: Dirt and debris can build up in your engine, which causes friction. That friction kills your efficiency. How do you clean it out? Routine oil and filter changes. If you haven't had an oil change for a while, schedule an appointment with the Service Centre at Automobiles Paillé, and get back to fuel efficient driving.
